what is the vegan diet ?

Mercedez Trabue: would like to be educate about the vegan diet

Rosalva Steinmann: A vegan is similar to a vegetarian but at the same time it's different. A vegetarian doesn't eat any form of meat or fish while a vegan eats no meats, nor dairies. They also eat nothing that includes milk, eggs, cheese, or butter. So mostly their diet consists of carbs, fruits & vegetables. I hope this helps! :)

Gladys Worthing: You can look that up online, or post in the vegetarian and vegan category here and there are folks that would be happy to share that information with you......basically, it's very restrictive. Much moreso than vegetarianism.

Mee Blumenfeld: This website may be able to help you.http://www.exploreveg.org/resources My understanding of a vegan is similar to a vegetarian (no meat) but a vegan diet is a little more strict because they also do no eat any type of animal products such a milk and eggs.

Bianca Lannier: vegan means you not only don't eat ! meat but you don't eat anything that comes from animals like eggs and milk or don't eat anything which has these ingedients in them like biscuits, butter, cheese. vegans get their protein from things like soya. my cousin is a vegan and has to check the ingredients of everything she buys. it's quite a difficult diet to keep to!

Bryant Pillitteri: I think they can only eat bark :-P
