Are the polls really accurate? ?

Ellis Cellar: I think the numbers are off because so many people under 30 only use cell phones and I haven't seen any info regarding how they adjust for that demographic. I haven't had a land line for eight years.

Porfirio Gartland: from the current group, paul or cain. If I could pick anyone? In no particular order- beck, gerald celente, andrew napalitano, chuck baldwin, thats it

Kara Tabian: So far Rose has the best answer!

Bailey Lares: Obama is our President now, get that through your thick skull you crazy republicans. I don't care what others are saying about his religion, his race, his anything, all I know is he is the right man for the job. Stop being a crybaby and be happy he won, I sure am.Obama/Biden'08Yes We Can! ...Show more

Corrina Faro: No

Dorris Homola: No. Pollsters can't poll people with cell phones only, so they miss a lot of the youth vote.check out this website: http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/

Dan Seen: No

Lym! an Gauld: The pattern length is the same each and every 12 months, yet this 12 months represents a unprecedented voter turnout via all projections and via this, the plus or minus mistakes ingredient will be way out of section with reality. different elements which will positioned the polls into jeopardy of dropping their command over the hypnotized public are the Bradley result, and cellular telephone customers. voters have switched aspects to vote in primaries, and many have not yet switched back. there's a lot more desirable incorrect with those polls immediately than meets the interest....Show more

Kalyn Proietto: Gerald Celente! or Dr Ron Paul

Gaynell Pizzaro: who will cut my taxes who will give me back my liberties, who will protect our country, and who will follow the constitution the only one like that is Ron Paulthe only wasted vote is for the status quo...Show more

Eleni Mccier: Only 1 is and that happens November 4th this year.

Noah Deni: I! vote for the person who I believe will uphold the Constitutio! n the best.

Michal Semple: No, Polls don't reflect true results.

Cassidy Pangrazio: wow ok maby u should try being more supportative of what Obama said, we should all come together for change, thats not going to happen untill people like you learn to stop saying crazy things like this.

Donnell Nocella: Most of the time I ask myself, "which one of these ****ers are going to mess with the constitution the least. Because my rights are a hell of a lot more important to me than oil, or money. I served during the first Bush, and I never thought that I would say this but, I am sick of Bush.

Donita Desjardin: Gavin Newsom, current Lieutenant Governor of California.

Marcellus Exler: the plus or minus mistakes ingredient will be way out of section with reality. different elements which will positioned the polls into jeopardy of dropping their command over the hypnotized public are the Bradley result, and cellular telephone customers. voters have sw! itched aspects to vote in primaries, and many have not yet switched back. there's a lot more desirable incorrect with those polls immediately than meets the interest.

Walter Scordino: Even exit polls can be skewed. An especially observant pollster can tell a lot about a person by how they are dressed. Stereotyping is not foolproof but it is good enough to skew a poll. For example: Two women, one a Bank President, the other a welfare mother will be dressed differently and most likely vote opposite each other on certain issues. The pollster need only ask one or the other to get a desired outcome.

Cortez Badolato: 1) Huntsman2) ObamaThose are my two picks. If Huntsman doesn't get the nomination while having a VP with similar values and views as himself, The President gets my vote again.

Hilde Heskett: Many of the polls aren't accurate because they survey everybody. If you limit the polls to "likely voters", the results tend to be a bit better. The problem tha! t became most apparent during the previous 2 elections was apathy. So, ! even those "likely voters" didn't even go to the polls on election day. It seems that young, idealistic voters are notoriously bad about that. Also, take a look at the various Electoral College predictions. There are a few web sites which try to predict the electoral outcome, and they've done a pretty good job in the past. We may have a case similar to 2000, where the candidate who wins the popular vote might lose the electoral vote....Show more

Salvador Prchlik: I think : I wish there was someone better I could vote for!

Ronnie Sardi: I hope its not just the stuff you see on T.V. But seriously...

Ismael Sixon: I think about many things...*Will this president increase or decrease the size of the US Government?*Will this president reinterpret the US Constitution?*Will this president create any new taxes?*Will this president try to stem the tide of pork in our budget?*Will this president stay out of people's lives by not defining what marriage is and who sho! uld be a part of it?*Will this president actually work on things that MATTER to the American public -- like fixing the Social Security system (privatization!), helping to stop the effects of Global Warming or actually making the government more efficient?*Will this president personally ***** slap any Hollywood idiot who thinks they're qualified to speak for America? (God, I wish this were so... I wish I wish I wish)*Will this president uphold my ideals as a Libertarian and be both fiscally conservative and socially liberal?9 times out of 10 the answer to the last question is no, so I either vote for the Libertarian candidate (ie: throw my vote away) or I simply don't vote. I'm sick and tired of the "I voted for Dumb because he was better than Dumber" system we have in the US today. The two-party system is tired and worn -- it's created such division when, in reality, most Americans don't fit the true mold of the modern conservative or modern liberal....Show more

Mi! chelle Sohre: Tony Blair

Ruthe Real: No.But they can influence th! e vote.People who see poll numbers could be influenced to vote one way or another, differently from what they would have voted on.Polls corrupt themselves....Show more

Myesha Zerbe: I DONT KNOW

Hai Biggart: Will the soldiers return earlier and more troop withdrawals be made around the world? Will the roads, neighbourhoods, schools and institutions of higher learning be made much safer at all times? Will health-care costs become more reasonable? Will the next president uphold the Constitution and modify some less realistic Amendments to bring about greater social harmony, safety and security? Will the next president be creative and bold enough to bring about a 3 or 4 parties system, so that future presidents would be nominated more accurately and ideally by the cabinet/govt and not by the people? Will the new govt consider seriously for pornographic materials be taken off the Internet so that youngsters' and therefore society/nation's basic morals are preserved?.! ..Show more

Hilma Pestano: I don't just mean Obama or leading Republicans either!

Katheryn Skrobacki: no they really never are

Willis Liburd: No, Polls never reflect true results.

Sunshine Holets: first off congratulations if youre looking to gloat and call names by all means thats your prerogative.I seen tonight at work the people of color hugging laughing and crying with delight and you know I was truly happy for them I could only imagine how it would feel if I were in there shoes.this could only happen in America I hope (although I think Obama is a leftist)That we can truly have unification (even though he attended rev Wrights sermons for 20 years) I wish Condoleeza Rice could have been prez instead but my true wish is to see an America that everybody has a right to have a dream.so God bless our country and our new president ...Show more

Manual Burtis: not so accurately, but you can learn something from the poll.

Merna Fauset: Herma! n Cain

Pamela Meno: no they are not

Whitney Saborido: A can! didate who shares my faith, and moral views.... pro life, pro God, and so on...

Herma Ellebrecht: Ron Paul. !

Donella Vasta: They're accurate, as far as the general % of people who would vote for one candidate or the other. But they don't *matter* one bit.The only ones that matter are the ones that track Electoral Votes. Remember that Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000, but the Electoral Votes gave the election to Bush. For example.. Obama will win California and the whopping 55 Electoral Votes that come with it. It doesn't matter if McCain would get 35% of the vote in that state. Likewise with Texas's 34 going to McCain. They could win the states by 99% to 1% margins or 51% to 49% margins.. it doesn't matter. When we look at projected Electoral Votes, the election isn't even close at the moment. It has Obama in a landslide.Don't go giving me a thumbs-down for mentioning what the friggin polls currently show, people. I'm just answering the question, not talking ! about who I do or do not want to win....Show more

Marcel Then: we are having a general election in our country this year and what i am looking for is a person who can led our country to great economic development and above all that unite all the 42 tribes we have. When people live in harmony setting aside their tribal differences and racial every thing fall in to place. If your candidate can bring people together that the man or woman i can vote for.

Michelle Sohre: Does this candidate have an exit strategy from Iraq that will bring everyone home within a year? This is a MUSTDoes this candidate have a strong plan for the removal of illegal aliens? This is a MUSTDoes this person have any ties or obligations to anyone named Bush or Clinton? I will NOT consider them....Show more

Paul Maymi: yes

Edwina Fu: Cosmo Kramer ftw!

Antone Youla: Polls are deliberately inaccurate.Nearly every poll is commissioned by someone with an agenda. That is some int! erest in how the poll comes out. They want ammunition for use in any i! ntercourse concerning the subject. If the pollster senses this and which way the "Source of the money" wants it to go you can be assured the pollster will do everything possible to provide the data the "Money" is looking for.I will provide a ludicrous example. It is of my own design offered only as an example of how the data can be skewed. Answer the following question yes or no.All African Americans should be shipped to Africa immediately.A very silly question with little doubt how it would come out in a legitimate poll. But I can skew the poll by asking the "Right" people. If I asked it at a meeting of the NAACP then again at a meeting of the KKK do you think the counts might differ a bit? I certainly do.Even exit polls can be skewed. An especially observant pollster can tell a lot about a person by how they are dressed. Stereotyping is not foolproof but it is good enough to skew a poll. For example: Two women, one a Bank President, the other a welfare mother wil! l be dressed differently and most likely vote opposite each other on certain issues. The pollster need only ask one or the other to get a desired outcome. The bottom line is, like many other things, in polls all you need do is follow the money......Show more

Ayesha Genova: Hopefully some sort of vision for the country. Inclusion rather than exclusion. Potential Supreme Court appointees. It doesn't matter much though, I live in CA, and we don't go conservative in Presidential elections, if you don't live here you'd probably be shocked at the lack of commercials in the last two elections. It's Democrat country.

Erica Bottaro: no
