Kip Ockenfels: Yes, raise taxes and subsidize insurance for everyone. Some may not like it, but we raise taxes to subsidize imperialistic armies, both public and private, to fight crime, to fight fire, to deliver water, to deliver energy, to get pharmaceuticals to do R & D, to get people to grow corn which is not actually needed anywhere in our hemisphere. You know, I wasn't sure I believed it until I saw 'Capitalism: A Love Story' and Michael Moore said it too, 99 percent of us Americans control only 5 percent of America. Half of our tax dollars go to fund the Wermacht (War Machine) and M.I.C. (Military Industrial Complex, talk about subsidizing.) So, yes, I think we could manage to subsidize health care for all with a little re-arranging. P.S. Ninfa Asby: ....the purchasing of insurance is just the "easing into stage" of universal health care. 2012 elections will only be about the movement towards universal health care. by then even the republikans will realize that if they want to exist as a viable political party they had better be advancing their version of universal health care VS the democrats version of universal health care.
