Gladys Worthing: Taking time off to study/educate, caring for a loved one, working for family, self employment, pregnancy/child rearing... But the best thing is to be as honest as you can. Let HR know you are passionate about being a valuable member of society and are ready to hit the door running. GL

Alecia Kaehler: There is absolutely nothing wrong with the truth but never say anything negative about yourself or previous employeers during an interview.
Victor Macallister: You should fill that time void of unemployment w/ something productive you've been doing. This is not a complete question either... how long are the gaps and how many are there? Depending on this, I might say something different for different lengths of time.
