Rayford Latz: You meet the buyer at your bank. They pay you, you payoff the loan, get the title and sign it over to them. (Takes maybe 2 minutes total)If your lender is not a local bank, you are going to have a real hard time finding someone to "trust" you with that much money. How do they know you wont just keep the money and stop paying on the car ?...Show more
Nannie Kasee: It's all very simple. The money you get from the buyer goes directly to the bank to pay off the loan. Once the bank releases the title all you have to do is sign it over to the buyer. This paperwork can take up to 30 days (that's why temporary tags are issued) but is generally done much faster than that....Show more
Joaquin Dronko: go to the bank that has the loan and tell them you will be bringing the buyer into the bank and you would appreciate their help with the title sign-off and the correct distribution of the proceeds of the car sale === this is the correct and easiest way to do t! he sale ... look on line and do a bit of homework on the price to determine the selling price....
Refugio Gastineau: You should simply be able to sell it and get him the title once you get it. If you don't know the buyer, you may need to get someone to draw up some papers to ensure you deliver the title. But a simple contract should do.
Joellen Zorrilla: honestly, the best thing to do, is find out what the buy out price is you may owe 2,400 on paper, but depending on your interest rate, if you paid the principal off in a lump sum, you may save 400 to 800 bucks, this would give you the title and put more cash in your pocket. Or tell the potential buyer you have to pay the lien off (keep the amount to yourself, so some greedy jack a does not try to sqeeze you thinking you need to sell the car in a hurry) but having the title handy is a big plus if a buyer is interested and has cash on hand. the lien holder should have the title in a safe, so find out ahead of ti! me where you have to go to get the title. good luck and god bl! ess your family and the the little ankle biter.(I hear if you feed them, they get bigger?)...Show more
